Fortnite and Dead by Daylight give us a chance to have our favourite characters (and sometimes real people) as skins to add value to the game. Sometimes the choices are great, like Leon Kennedy or Cheryl Mason for DBD or Kratos or Lara Croft. But what would happen if we ruined it all with some of the most perplexing ideas for film character skins instead? You know how this would go.
Don Logan from Sexy Beast (2000)
His energy would suit the frantic nature of Fortnite, but I don’t see poor Don being selected. But if he knew about this article, we would have to insist just like he did with Gal. Preparation, preparation, preparation. This idea is not sudden. I’ve been into this for three months, and Don is ready. Don is so ready that he wouldn’t need a gun. His weapon is a cigarette to the eye and his weakness would either be a shotgun blast or touching his front bottom (he won’t like that at all). However, Don works well in groups as long as they say ‘yes’. Watch Don in action here.
Charlie from The Whale (2022)
Our first Academy Award winner on the list. The fat teacher with a gun to teach the others a lesson in survival. His weakness would be searching for loot. Once he enters one of the houses, he might never leave if the character is true to himself. Plus, running might be out. He would give great English lessons to a player base that could benefit. In addition, if he is shot down in Fortnite, the loot is books and papers.
Andrew Beckett from Philadelphia (1993)
The most famous Aids victim in movie history would be a catastrophe for Fortnite’s player base, who probably regard it as ancient movie history. Andrew’s secret superpower is that Joe Miller comes out of his backpack and fights the battle for him. If Joe shoots everyone down, Andrew will say ‘Good work, counsellor’. We also have some horrible ideas for the Philadelphia sequel which is not needed.
Daniel Hillard from Mrs Doubtfire (1993)
A man dressed as an elderly female housekeeper in Fortnite or Dead By Daylight? We can make this work. For a start, Mrs. Doubtfire is an ace at throwing, as evidenced by the fruit scene. Also, Mrs Doubtfire can save lives as he did with the Heimlich manoeuvre that got him rumbled towards the end. The weakness would be the need to keep his skin together, as there have been several lapses in this area.
Fred Madison from Lost Highway (1997)
This will be a noisy one as Fred’s weapon will be his saxophone-inspired gun. His key weakness is that he switches into Pete Dayton at regular intervals during a round. Another weakness is that he repeats the same mistakes each round. Another weakness is that he round get picked a lot due to the low popularity of this movie. We also have some epic ideas of what David Lynch would have done with Rocky and True Detective, and Barbie here
Daniel Plainview from There Will Be Blood (2007)
The resilient oilman would be a true survivor in either Fortnite or Dead By Daylight. Armed with bowling balls and pins, you don’t want HW’s dad on your trail. Best leave him alone or he will do more than drink your milkshake. Speaking of, we have some horrific ideas for the sequel to this movie that involve milkshakes.
Brooks from Shawshank Redemption (1994)
Brooks spent his entire adult life behind bars. His weapon would be his book trolley. His weakness would be his hands since he had trouble with the shopping bags. In addition, Brooks may not adapt very well in Fortnite or Dead by Daylight and do himself in. We also have a game idea for this one.
