No Country or Old Men: The Sitcom

Sheriff Tom Bell has been thrown out of his house by his wife Loretta, because he never shuts up about his dreams. He starts a new life in San Antonio and goes to live in an apartment, but we can’t make the rent on his own. So he brings in a lodger and of all the applicants, his new buddy is Anton Chigurh who works irregular hours and always comes back covered in either wounds or someone else’s blood. A running gag is that Tom Bell keeps irritating Anton with his talk about dreams and at the end of the episode, Anton pulls out a coin and tells Tom to ‘call it’. Other episodes feature Sheriff Bell and Anton on a double date with local hotties and Anton’s date always ends up dead on hilarious circumstances. Pros: Tommy Lee Jones and Javier Bardem could still do it. Cons: Both would be too expensive.
